A Family Portrait For July

Oh well this is a crap iPhone job to be honest. I just got a passerby to take a quick photo, the littlest is asleep and the older one isn’t looking at the camera. I considered going out to take an alternative but it depicts such a lovely day that i wanted to use it anyway.

We are so lucky to live where we live but sometimes we whinge about the house prices, tiny garden and the bloody seagulls waking us up at 4am (even when i am asleep i dream of conducting a mass seagull massacre with machine guns); still when we can draw ourselves out of our own misery we remember that life is good, very good at that. We also remember how good it is to spend a bit of time being tourists again…

I grew up in a fairly touristy part of the coast and for all that the grackles have their down side I do miss being by the sea; it looks like it was a fabulous day out and an amazing backdrop to your Me and Mine shot (although the photo of the cider is the one that has me sighing!)

Such gorgeous photos Katie and you are right, it doesn’t matter about the photo but the story behind it and it looks like a fantastic day. Did you know that if I could live anywhere else in the UK it would be Brighton? I love it SO much and if I wasn’t so close to my family I would move in an instant. But I can’t imagine the seagulls day in day out- little feckers. Ask me one day about an incident I had with a seagull, it was probably the most embarrassing moment of my life so far. x

I heart Brighton too! :) We’re kinda waiting for our friend to invite us over again. If we get tired of waiting, might just show up on his doorstep! Isn’t that what close friends are for? Little T happens to be his goddaughter ;) Love the family photo. You guys always look cute! Oh and I heart Bulmers too. xx

Hahaha, being woken by seagulls is the one thing I don’t miss about living at the coast. Why do they have to be so damn loud?
Such a lovely photo of you all, iPhone or not. And I think it’s always fun seeing where you live like a tourist would, it’s so easy to take for granted the lovely things on your own doorstep. x
