Sunday morning racing driving. I don’t even know what to say to this other that it gives a strong indication of times ahead in a house full of boys!
I’m actually quite shocked at how good Little F is and i doubt he will be as old as his Mama when he passes his driving test.
Just don’t get in the way though, or try and sit next to them on the sofa because THERE ARE ONLY TWO SEATS!
This post is linked up with to Mummy, Daddy, Me for the Ordinary Moments. Sharing normal, everyday moments that capture the essence of family life. Nothing special, nothing remarkable but memories that you don’t want to forget. AKA the nice part of my blog (usually).

P.S. I have a new book OUT NOW! You can nab it on Amazon here or in your lovely local bookshop :)
Hahaha, Moo plays a Sonic Racing app and yes your right its surprising how well they manage to do it!
Lovely photos x
Thanks :) x
Brilliant! H loves his racing games and I’ve no doubt he will be indoctrinating the girls in due course so that he’s got someone to race against as I am an atrocious game driver!!
Ha! It’s quite funny to be fair – he loves it but we have to ration it to just once in a while of he would be on it all the time!
I really want to know how old you were when you passed your driving test now!
It was 2 months ago!!!
Congrats on passing! Sometimes if you live somewhere like Brighton or London you just don’t really need to drive do you? JJ has started playing Disney Cars games on the Xbox – he started off just randomly driving into walls and other vehicles (they get quite cross in a very polite kind of way!) but he’s definitely showing signs of improvement now!
Haha I think it will be me who has to play racing games with J as Mr C hates computer games! My dad designed racing cars when I was growing up so I used to love playing games with him and I love it, in fact I really need to buy myself a games console! x
I too have a houseful of boys and I am learning to love the tom boy thing!
Ah, yes, both my boys are better at these games than I am! The wee girl probably will be soon too :)
oh love this, lots of memories as I have six brothers. I know what it’s like to have a household of boys around. I grew up a tomboy. It’s no wonder. what a great ordinary moment.
Such a lovely capture. So sweet.
It’s so funny how different boys are to girls! It’s strange seeing the dynamic change in our house now that E is starting to walk around and play with toys – she is just so chilled out and calm compared to them. She spends her whole time playing with the boys’ cars and trains though rather than dolls, so I’m sure she’ll be playing the driving games on the computer against them before long! x
Aw I think this is one thing that my husband will miss not having boys. Don’t get me wrong I know that girls can play games, but it is more the fact that although Mads is a huge Daddy’s girl, it won’t quite be the same as the male bonding that he would get with a son. I know he wouldn’t change our girls for the world but I often think about what he would be like with a son. x
