The Ordinary Moments – Calender car parks

20131208-102435.jpg

8 days into December and the Advent calendar has become a big part of our morning routine. I am a little excited this year so may have (did) bought his nibs 2, a chocolate affair and a Playmobil Christmas post office. The latter is way beyond awesome by the way.

I knew he would enjoy it and it has been an excellent bribery tool for good breakfast etiquette in the morning. What I didn’t envisage however was the versatility of the calendar – it had become a multi-story car park too!

You have to give the boy some creativity credit – he can find a potential car park almost anywhere :)

This post is linked up with to Mummy, Daddy, Me for the Ordinary Moments. Sharing normal, everyday moments that capture the essence of family life. Nothing special, nothing remarkable but memories that you don’t want to forget. AKA the nice part of my blog (usually).

I’ll admit I really wanted a playmobil one this year, but the girls are just too small to justify it so we have a sticker version that’s a nativity scene (Kitty), a chocolate Gruffalo one (also Kitty) and a picture Snowman and the Snowdog (adored by Elma). I’ve made a handmade one in the past, but I’ll admit I’m really enjoying this year’s selection.

I made Cherry one this year but she’s in the midst of the terrible threes and has been a right nightmare with it! Some days she’s cried because she didn’t like what was in it and demanded to open another one, next year she’s getting a plain window one!! x

I really wanted to get myself, sorry Mads a playmobil one this year but we didn’t get round to it (next year definitely!) so she has a gruffalo one. She has been quite good with it, but I don’t know what she will do on the 26th and she realises she doesn’t get a chocolate after breakfast anymore. ;)

Love this, my son is obsessed with Cars characters and everything in our house is a car park. These tiny little cars end up everywhere. In my shoes, in the cupboards, in his cereal bowl, in his christmas stocking, you name it, it’s their home. Glad we aren’t the only ones. lol
